TLK100 – Long range radio

It’s been a busy 12 months with Motorola WAVE PTX installations.  New clients now benefit from the wide-area coverage that it provides.  Teams across the UK are now connected more than ever with instant push to talk communication at their disposal.

This connectivity got the team at Wirefr3 thinking about how we use the TLK100 and how it has improved the way work.  Just recently the team (along with their TLK100’s) were at a variety of two-way radio visits and installations.  Engineers were on the road, heading to Reading and then into London with other engineers heading north to Milton Keynes and the Lincoln.  The office was also manned here in Tring, Hertfordshire.  With the team set up on one group, the engineers were able to provide instant updates.  This included ETA’s, progress on jobs, sharing of experience and knowledge and updates on stock.  All of this information was carried out by a simple press of a button with messages being delivered within seconds.  All engineers, part of one conversation despite being spread across the UK.

We also had a company director travelling to Hungary that evening (again with his TLK100).  He was able to stay connected with the business with instant communication whilst traveling to the airport and when landed and settled in Hungary.  Instant push to talk communication across the UK and Europe.

Phones are now rarely used by the team.  The ability to press a button, talk and deliver your message instantly really does improve our efficiencies.
